ALTIA CENTRAL’s contracts are primarily located in central and western Japan, including:
- Aichi
- Gifu
- Shizuoka
- Okayama
- Hiroshima
- Shiga
- Mie
- Nagano
- Fukui
- Limited positions in Osaka, Kyoto, and Kansai
⚠️ ALTIA CENTRAL does not have placements in the Greater Tokyo Area. Applicants seeking Osaka-only placements may have limited opportunities.

Driving Requirement
- Driving may be required depending on placement
- ALTIA CENTRAL provides extensive driving and car support
Duties & Teaching Style
ALTIA CENTRAL ALTs focus on building positive, energetic classroom environments and supporting Japanese teachers.
Core Duties
- Deliver enjoyable and communicative English lessons
- Create positive interactions inside and outside the classroom
- Assist Japanese teachers with lesson activities and school tasks
- Participate actively in games, movement, and student interaction
- Maintain a professional, supportive relationship with school staff
The role is physically active, involving standing, walking, stairs, and energetic participation with students.
Evaluation & Professional Growth
ALTIA CENTRAL regularly evaluates ALTs on:

Salary & Benefits
Salary
- ¥3,000,000 per year (approx. ¥240,000/month)
- Includes annual bonus
- Full salary paid every month (no prorated months)

Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a native English speaker
- Have completed at least 12 years of education in English
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
- Be enthusiastic, engaging, and student-focused
- Be flexible and culturally sensitive
- Commit to at least one year in Japan
- Have basic Japanese ability (conversational preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous ALT, ESL, or tutoring experience
- Prior study or work experience in Japan
- Ability to drive in Japan (Japanese license or IDP)
Training Requirement
- Availability for a 4-day Orientation/Training session before school placement
