Position Details

Job Type

  • Position: English Teacher / Instructor (ELT, Conversational English)

Location

  • Schools located across Honshu and Kyushu
This position requires relocating to Japan

Contract

  • One-year contract
  • Salary increase possible from the second year, based on evaluation

Schedule

  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • 5-day / 40-hour work week
  • Typical shifts:
  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Responsibilities

Amity teachers play an active role in both teaching and school operations:

  • Teach English conversation lessons to children and teens

  • Communicate regularly with parents about student progress
  • Interview and counsel prospective students
  • Support marketing of Amity programs and services
  • Daily interaction with students and parents in the school lobby
  • Prepare student progress records during scheduled periods
