Schedule & Working Conditions
- Monday – Friday
- Weekends & Japanese national holidays off
- Working hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- (Times may vary by city and school)
- Teaching load: 4–5 classes per day
Responsibilities
ALTs at Heart Corporation focus on two core responsibilities:
- Delivering fun, effective English lessons through activities and interaction
- Internationalizing Japanese youth by sharing cultural knowledge and global perspectives
Daily tasks include:
- Supporting games, role-play, and communicative activities
- Assisting Japanese teachers during lessons
- Encouraging students to participate confidently in English

Requirements
Mandatory Requirements
Applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher (any field)
- Have strong English proficiency (spoken and written)
- Have no visible tattoos
- Be enthusiastic about teaching children and teens
- Be adaptable to Japanese school culture
- Work well as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
- TEFL/TESOL certification
- Teaching experience
- Basic Japanese conversation ability
Teaching experience is not required, as all successful applicants receive training before starting.
Japanese Language Ability
- Basic conversational Japanese is preferred
- Applicants with limited Japanese are expected to study toward a basic level
- Advanced Japanese ability is not required
